By Nic Annette Miller

The installation of Migrating Monarchs swarming around the mother-daughter video of Our Tones, Our Wrists, Our Home / Ngữ Điệu, Cổ Tay, Nhà frames the story a family’s sign language that has migrated and adapted from Vietnam in 1975 after the Fall of Saigon and finding refuge in the United States until Miller, a first generation Vietnamese American, visited in 2023 to what is now known as Ho Chi Minh City for research.
