Azurite, surfite, sterling silver
Surfite: Resin that spills off surfboards during the glassing or sealing process. As boards are processed through the glassing bay, the excess resin drips off the sides and pools on the floor. Over time, the buildup can reach 6” deep before it is broken up and removed. The chunks of Surfite can then be cut and polished to reveal the vibrant colors hidden beneath the surface. Lightweight material. By artists Penni Gage.
